Lovely painting - like how you have painted the foreground.

I’ve had a spot of bother reloading this after deleting the original, the photo was poor quality. My apologies to Paul and Willie for deleting your comments ,which I may have saved, thank you.

David, I think I deleted you also thank you form re posting your comment, much appreciated. David Williams, I think I obliterated you as well, very sorry and thank you.

Great view, Fiona, and beautifully painted - like the colours.

You have caught the rugged beauty of your Scottish coastline Fiona.

So lovely, Fiona. I miss the sea.

A beautiful rugged seascape with the gully and and shows the shoreline well!

Lovely scene Fiona, those dark shadows under the stones/rocks are excellent.

Excellent painting Fiona love the way the foreground leads in to the distant sea

Love this Fiona. One of the best I have seen from you.

Lots of lovely thick paint, Fiona". So few colours but so effective.

Super painting, really like your brushwork and colour palette

Love the subtle palette your little flecks of blue and the feeling of openness.

This is so fresh and the feeling of openness takes one right down that rivulet to the sea. Love it Fiona.

I like the high horizon, the distance portrayed, the painterly simplification, the subtle colours and the composition.

Lovely painting. Love the touches of blue

A fantastic view Fiona, love the river curving to the sea. Great foreground too, the rocks are very good

I couldn’t access your painting earlier must be when you were uploading it Fiona.

Excellent painting Fiona ..Nice pallet and depth 👌

There’s some lovely subtle tones and brush work going on here, I’m genuinely impressed Fiona, a professional standard no less!

Thank you all so very much for your wonderful, kind and generous comments. I’m interested to read your feedback on the palette…..I wasn’t sure about the flat sky and water but it was one of those low lit, overcast days and this is how it was…..anyway I went with it. Also I wasn’t sure that I had added enough variation in the grass area, as it’s most of the painting really, I thought it looked a bit flat. I’m so glad you like it!

A very cool, subtle palette and good feeling of distance - lovely painting, Fiona.

This is fabulous Fiona, a lovely feeling of peace and remoteness.

Fantastic colours in your painting, Fiona. It's got to be one of my favourite areas of Scotland.

Super painting Fiona, i think your sky works well in your painting. I have found with busy landscapes a simple sky is often the answer.

This is very impressive, Fiona. Great composition and so well executed.

Many thanks Anne, Michael, Russell, Ron, (I agree) David, Mia for your lovely encouraging feedback.

That’s a beautiful image you’ve done Fiona. I’m wishing I was there. You get the light magically.

Thank you Mick……it must be magic because it isn’t by design! Lol

Many thanks Gudrun!

Stunning work, Fiona - tons of atmosphere, with lovely brushwork and palette. Beautifully done!

Thanks again Seok! It’s a lovely place for inspiration and mood.

I am so impressed by this painting Fiona. You are such an accomplished artist. Beautifully and skillfully painted!

Diane, that’s very kind of you to say so, thank you. It was one of those paintings that painted itself to be honest. I wasn’t aware of having any input…..if that makes sense.

Another beauty, you are getting so good Fiona. Wish I lived where you are some lovely views to paint. Well done!👍❤️

Thank you William….yes I am spoilt for choice.

14”x12” oil on paper. Looking out from the shoreline path from Garlieston harbour to Rigg bay and on to Cruggleton point and castle. Galloway House is behind me and the headland out to the left is Eggerness point, which I have painted before but from Wigtown bay side at the Crook of Baldoon.
