Love the pink and gold tones beautiful!

Nice work Fiona, very wintry...

Sure looks cold Fiona, like the bare trees.

A snow scene yet warm colours which actually work very well. It looks chilly and it's a very good pen and wash. As for tropical weather..I don't believe it.. :)

I still haven't seen any snow either in sunny Devon! Good imagination!

Beautiful Fiona, great palette.

Thank you very much Linda, Jim, Stephen, Louise, (it's true, as Phil Collins said, No jacket required!) Linda, Margaret.

That is beautiful, Fiona. I almost want to put on my coat and hat.

It was worth it Fiona, lovely scene.

Ha , Ha , you caved in and it was worth te effort as it's a splendid snow scene with lovely passages of colour throughout ... excellent I cannot possibly consider a snow scene over here because I am nearly in need of sun factor it's that warm over here .... maybe it will snow in summer ......

Worth the pain Fiona beautiful

But it is lovely, Fiona, Like you I find it difficult to paint from photos, but they do make necessary references....The seen plus the remembered make the best work, I think.

I really like this style and your choice of colours!

Fabulous snow scene Fiona. The warm colours make a really striking scene.

Don't forget the mittens Ellen! Thank you. Thanks Carole! Dermot, the weather has been similar here but it's December and there's still no snow!! Thank you for your comment.

Thank you Pete! I'm fully recovered now Dennis....lol...thank you. I quite agree with you Ruth, not so much the image but the spirit and essence of the scene. Thank you for your comment. Thank you very much Fiona, Paul for your kind comments.

A pleasant scene very well executed Fiona. You do have the Gulf Stream passing by don't you?

Beautiful painting as usual for you, Fiona.

Lovely free brushwork Fiona - very effective .

This is gorgeous, Fiona - a lovely feel to it and, as usuall, beautiful penwork.

A lovely pen and wash Fiona, beautifully done.

Many thanks Michael, yes we are on the Gulf stream, there are tropical gardens at the Mull of Galloway. Thank you very much Cesare and Helen for your lovely comments.

Thea, David....appreciate your kind comments very much.

Stunning piece Fiona. ,, love the teasing of the odd splash of blue, terrific,

Thanks Andre, glad you like it!

I love this sketch - it has great light and excitement Fiona

Not seen any of this white stuff yet apart from the tops of the Ochils thank goodness but I don't mind seeing it in one of your delightful watercolours Fiona.

Thank you very much Lynne, you're very kind. Thanks Val. You're not a snow fan then? lol I love it, and I'm ashamed to admit to still building a snowman if it's deep enough....along with face, hat and scarf. Don't tell anyone!

Many thanks Malcolm!

Very atmospheric as usual, Fiona, love it!

Very mild here too - I've stopped taking my vitamin D pills for a while - lovely scene with some great colours which all come together so well.

Recognisable as yours Fiona, love it.

Lovely to hear from you Mia, hope you're well and thank you very much. I'm still taking mine Michael (only in the winter months) thank you for your comment. Many thanks Glennis, how are you?

12"x10" Pen & watercolour on Jackson's rough. It's no good Dermot, I caved in. The white stuff has been a bit scarce here on the south west coast of Scotland, we had a dusting on the hills during the cold spell a month ago but since then it's been like the tropics! lol I've used up my source of snow sketches, I have a photo's but I find it difficult to paint from photo's. I had to make this up from other snow scenes I've done over the years. I'm going for a lie down now, my head hurts...lol
