Sunshine and Cloud on Cairnsmore of Fleet

Oh to have a view like that from my back garden! You have captured the clouds beautifully.

I wished I lived there, beautiful Fiona.

Lovely view Fiona and a lovely painting of it.

This is a wish I was there painting Fiona-that lovely view with the cloud drifting down onto the hills. I love it.

Super, Fiona - wild, dramatic and beautiful!

What a different view to mine you have Fiona. There’s a lovely sense of openness and distance.

Another loose and carefree painting Fiona that captures the mood of that moment so well. Beautiful view it is.

Gorgeous, I absolutely love the texture of the trees!

Thank you all very much for your kind comments, I’m very fortunate to have a view like this. The light and shadows have been changing all day, I wish I were able to catch the light, it can be so beautiful but way out of my abilities. I don’t generally do a close up shot of this part of the hill, on this occasion the high pasture looked so clear and close. All I could manage for a quickie. Thanks again.

That’s very good Fiona. Love your sky and the almost menacing dark ridge which I suspect doesn’t often look as close. Very atmospheric with the cloud drifting across the mountainside. Only one thing missing…. a splash of red across the sky spelling Raducanu !!

Lovely and loose with beautiful colours Fiona.

Fiona, that is so beautiful, and its so close to you, we traveled Over 350 miles to see this outstanding land, you've captured this in your fab painting.

What a view you have ... a lovely painting

Beautifully painted Fiona, love the clouds descending over the hill, wonderful. Good sense of distance.

Through a telescope no doubt! Anyway, it’s a great quickie and well captured…

A painting with tons of atmosphere. I also love the immediacy and energy of the piece. Lovely work, Fiona!

Very well captured Fiona and a beautiful place to live.

The Raducanu is there Michael, new species of a British bird of prey! Thank you. Many thanks Dympna. Thanks very much Lesley, I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip…..where did you visit? Heather, Carole thank you ladies for your encouragement. Telescope? Not yet for a few years I hope Alan, nothing wrong with the eyesight and Cairnsmore is too large to miss. Thank you Seok, you are always so generous and kind about my work. It’s a wonderful place Bryan, thank you for your comment, much appreciated.

A lovely representation of those low cloud days. Those spiky pines are great too.

Superbly atmospheric Fiona, and I agree, a wonderful view which you must never tire of.

Great atmosphere Fiona, what a wonderful view to have.

Willie, Tessa, Katy……many thanks for your positive comments. I love where I live, it’s such a diverse area and never need to go very far to find something to paint. Thanks again.

Excellent again Fiona, a beautiful sketch

Nearly missed this Fiona. Love that mist bellowing down the hillside and the general energy of your painting Fiona.

Thank you very much David and Carole, much appreciated.

Lovely brave, loose work Fiona.

Lovely - what a view to have!

Lovely juicy wet in wet and great clouds Fiona.
