Winter Plough

Nice fresh and contemporary feel Fiona , like it.

Love the colours and simplicity of this. The diagonal composition adds interest and drama Fiona.

I like it, Fiona - and weather does not look nearly so murky as it has been yesterday and today - no colour at all!

Dennis thank you very much. Hope you are keeping well? Many thanks Carole, I prefer your word ‘drama’ than my own description of ‘depressing’ . Lol. Yes Margaret, it’s been a bit like that here today but yesterday was gorgeous, in short sleeves in the garden, I was working though! Thank you.

No! It's gorgeous, Fiona. Simple shapes and earthy colours. I love it!

Doesn’t look depressing Fiona - anything but. Some nice rich colour and sunlight catching the fields and that little strip of almost white to mark the track lifts the whole painting. I like it.

I’m rarely interested in looking at ‘happy, sunny little landscapes, they have no appeal for me. So, this did catch my eye Fiona, some good intersecting lines, all balances rather well! Good job!

The sun don’t shine all the time Fiona, . There is a tendency to paint bright sunny day, in the real world we have dull days as well, to me it looks like a misty day with the colours struggling through, like many a day in the countryside.

… but I like it!

Thank you every one, you’ve made me look at it with fresh eyes.

Lovely work, Fiona.

Thanks Cesare.

Really like this-the handling, and its scuffed look

Thanks very much David, I like your term ’scuffed’.

Very appealing colours Fiona. Like the composition.

Hang on Studio Wall

Oil in sketchbook. A quick oil sketch I did late last year, it was a horrible murky day, I think that’s why I hid it’s a bit depressing.
