Scrap Project

Really like this one Fiona, some great shapes and an understanding of colour and design - nice work!

Alan thank you very much for that comment. I found my love of doing monoprints from your wonderful examples, they gave me the inspiration to delve further into this technique and I discovered Robert Colquhoun, who’s prints are something else! Thanks again x

I like the colour combinations and design. Excellent.

I like this a lot Fiona - lovely choice of colours.

Fiona it's amazing how many different works you have produced from those sessions using scrap metal. I too like this one especially those splashes of orange.

Stephen many thanks , one of my favourite combinations. Thanks very much Margaret! Hello Carol, I’ve done lots of stuff for this project, this is one of about six prints, there are sketches and at least three oils. I won’t post most of them, I think I’m boring folk with this subject ....lol.

Lovely shapes, Fiona - haven't seen Colquhoun's prints( or I've forgotten ) but I went to the "Two Robert's "exhibition.

Thank you Marjorie. I was very upset to have missed that exhibition but I have seen most of his monoprints that were included in the exhibition. A lot of them were on loan from my art tutor, he co wrote the book, ‘The Two Roberts’ which accompanied the exhibition. He probably holds the largest collection of his prints in private hands. He also has the only oil on glass that Colquhoun ever produced. He did a talk locally on Robert Colquhoun and he brought over twenty of his works as examples...fantastic. Including one of my favourites The Two Irish Women.

Nice flowing shapes, and love the orange/black combination!

Jenny thank you very much. The darker colour does look like black doesn’t it but it’s actually Parisian blue...old Holland. I like orange and blue.....
