It’s Been Wet Here.

Great treatment of the tree and water. It "drenched" in Stockport yesterday evening.

Nice representation of Lincolnshire too, Fiona.

I really love this Fiona.

It looks seriously wet in your painting, Fiona. Definite staying-in weather. Just as bad down here on the south coast.

I don’t think anyone has managed to escape the heavy rain lately, the fields here have been soaked. It does make them and the surrounding countryside look so different. Thank you all very much for your comments.

Beautiful Fiona, I saw straight away it was yours.

Super this one Fiona. Great mark making in thus piece.

Love the way you have made that tree look soaking wet. This is a very clever painting that has worked exceptionally well Fiona.

Even the tree looks sodden - so much rain lately, thank God or Whatever for some warm sunshine today..

Great painting, love the colours, it does certainly have a very watery effect.

Cesare, John, Carole, Robert, Paul thank you. I’m glad the feeling/look of the tree dripping wet has come over to the viewer. Thank you for pointing that out. We are promised sunshine tomorrow....yippee!

Ha ha! Brilliantly bedraggled and miserable. Great sense of misery in this evocative painting. Nice one, Fiona. Bri

Hi Fiona. Lovely to hear from you and yes, all's well here despite all the rain which you've painted so well. I haven't been posting for various reasons and from having a few niggles with the site which I won't go into just now! I've just logged in after ages and I'll post a painting later on. I do like this painting..just if only the gate was a bridge? Had to say that didn't I? lol. I'll be back!! xx

A great description Brian, thank you very much. Yippee.....Louise, so glad you’re coming back, missed you and your paintings....especially your girls. Although, I haven’t missed the quips about you know what! I’ve been dry for months, looks like I’ll be back on the bottle!! Lol. Spuggs says hi! Thank you!

You are creating atmosphere in your paintings Fiona - energy and confident application of colour.

Just come back from Galloway and can confirm that everything, including your painting, is running with water -great work -happier days ahead.

You know me too well Louise....lol. Shaun many thanks. Oh dear Willie, I hope the experience won’t put you off revisiting Galloway, the sun does shine sometimes. Thanks very much for your comment.

Great interpretation Fiona, love the splash of red sun. That tree looks positively saturated!

Hi Fiona, welly boot weather I see from this. Great use of watercolour.

Thanks Al! Dennis thank you very much. Hi Sarah......yes definitely welly weather, although, it’s been beautiful today. Typical! Lol. Thank you Sarah.

Beautifully portrayed Fiona, very wet here too !

Looks like you could go for a swim in that field Fiona, definitely welly boot weather:)

Thank you Very much ladies, appreciate your comments. We had another dry day today, that’s two in a row!

Another beauty, Fiona, with cheery colours to brighten up any weather.

Thanks Jennifer!

So eye-catching - like the style, Fiona

Thank you very much Maureen.

Real sense of the water, and I do like the way the tree looks like it's having a "bad hair day".

Thank you Sandra, love.y to hear from you. I must have based it on one of my own bad hair days! Lol

A great tree image, Fiona....love those snaggarely, angular branches!

Thank you once again Chandra.

It certainly looks soggy! Excellent.

Thanks again Margaret!

Fiona you have really captured the mood here and I love the looseness of the painting, it’s so free just how I like it! I am jealous!! William.❤️

You are very kind William, thank you.

12”x9” watercolour sketch on Arches. Galloway is probably not by itself in the amount of wet weather recently. On this particular day it was positively dreich with just the hint of the sun ....what bit of it there was......going down.
