I like the composition, Fiona. It's also a great example of how adjacent colours from individual brush strokes are optically mixed to create a pleasing harmony. Cezanne was also a master at this technique. I admire your patience in making this, Fiona - well done.

Yes it does, I've done 3 larger ones and it does involve a fair few brush strokes, enjoyable though.

Now, I’m not an emotional type of lady at all, but I’m glad they didn’t bring the lights up too soon. Based on that, I’m all fired up to produce a third and last entry for the competition, what better inspiration could you have. Congratulations to all that worked so hard to produce the film.....I don’t like this phrase.....but it is, amazing! Thanks again.

Hi Fiona....I just found your oils gallery...don't know how I've missed most of these....The artworks come in at such a pace on POL it's hard to keep up! This Van Gogh one for your Van Gogh challenge is superb! It is always a pleasure to look through your work, and I love your sense of fun, and willingness to try new things, and experiment. I think you will have inspired many artists to try new techniques. Yes, working on another winter garden one! Should finish it in a couple of days....Thank you so much for your generous comments on my garden series....one never loses that wonderful feeling you get when someone likes what you've created!
