Really enjoyed painting this one. A Wire-haired Pointer from photograph. Picture measures approx 50 x 60cm, Oil. Painted covering board in Raw Umber ground (on top of several earlier coats of gesso). Then 'drew' by removing ground to ascertain tones. Then slowly built up from darkest darks.
