Like this one too Fen - you can turn your hand to anything!

It is could to try something new sometimes. I think you picture portrays the emptiness of these times. I see that you have more or less followed the rule of thirds in your composition, but it would be nice to have something to focus on, rather than the blank wall. The technique and colours thou are excellent.

Perhaps the street lamp could stand out a bit more - I didn’t see it on my first look.

Great suggestions thank you. It got to a stage where there was too much oil paint on the paper and things like the lamp got swamped. Will aim to keep it crisper next time and then play with light to help it stand out. Had thought of putting a person on the pavement, perhaps that would help with focusing attention. Thank you.

Another excellent street scene and like how you showed the perspective where the road disappears

Awesome painting

Thanks folks.

Tried something new: firstly a street scene that is not my usual subject and secondly using a palette knife. Palette was Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red, Cobalt Blue, Indigo and Titanium White to mix lights. Feel it is rather overworked. Would be very interested in any useful feedback to assist progression.
