She...Me. I find I concentrate so much on the painting that I forget to smile! ha ha!!

A "strong" portrait Fen with very interesting and wise usage of varying brushstrokes.

Finally finished this thirteenth self portrait. It morphed as it progressed; each time I donned the hat aspects changed so the final pose shows the ear which was hidden in the initial 'sketch'. Used two new colours. Madder, a wonderful earthy red and secondly, Flesh tint. The latter ironically used for the background not the face! Measure 60 x 40cm. Oil on board.
