Comments

This looks absolutely great Paul and can see how your opportunity of close observation was a benefit to you.

Such a gorgeous owl Paul and it's gaze and pose is superb! Lovely Autumn leaves and the palatte is just superb, everything so well balanced!

That is very good indeed, Paul! Love the expression on the owl's face!!

This is lovely! Love owls

Denise , David , Angela and Anne thank you for your lovely comments they are really encouraging.

Well, still looks good to me (what a name)!

This is lovely Paul, and you have caught a very good expression on its face, love the colours too

Thank you Heather ! Cheryl and Faye for you comments

Fantastic owl Paul, the eyes look great.

Lovely work Dixie. That bird sounds quite a character.

She’s lovely.

Superbly done Paul.

Many thanks Denise , Lew , Emma, and Chris fir you kind comments. She is a sod at time to put it mildly, and is very misbehaving. Fortunately she took to me and just wanted to rub her face against mine , most odd being chatted up by a actual bird , sorry ladies it’s not a word I would normally use when referring to females.

The eyes have it.

This is super Paul. Great detail and wonderful use of colour.

Thanks you Sylvia, Spencer and Valerie for you kind comments . I do the dyes first it brings the animal etc to life and defines the character I think , I was cross when it went wrong ad I though the face was particularly good.

Lovely, Paul - the eyes are very expressive.

Thank you Jenny I appreciate your comment.

This is great Paul. I love owls and you have really done them justice here.

Great work Paul, you have caught her expression and character really well.

A watercolour 23x34 cm of a long eared owl. I meet her as she belongs to an acquaintance at her home last week , quite a tart and loves to pose know as BB ( Big Bitch) as she can be absolutely awful to people when she wants too. I had a good couple of hours holding her and sketching . I’m not over please with the out come as I accidentally drop brown paint on the painting, removed a bit but not right to me . Will do another in a week or so.
