Water in general and reflections in particular I always find hard to pull off so, but you’ve made a good job of it, especially without a reference to work from.

Like it very much Paul

Nicely done, beautiful greens. Like the way you have painted still water.

Andrew , Ravindra and Romila many thanks for your kind comments.

I like the way the sun is filtering through the fresh green leaves - nice calm reflections too, Paul!

Lovely reflections Paul, your struggles were worthwhile

Thank you Anne and Heather for your kind comments.

You have made a good job of the reflections Paul.

Thank you Denise , you have just done my confidence the world of good.

It looks a very confident and competent painting Paul. Lovely variation of greens and watery reflections……I particularly like where you have added the the movement of the breeze across the water, very effective.

I think the water and reflections are rather lovely, good job !!

Well thank you Fiona and Valerie, my confidence and moral has just taken a boost . While it was a challenge and I changed it a few times I did enjoy painting this one and most importantly I learned a lot .

Great painting Paul and love the reflections in the water, super painting.👌🙏

Thank you William I appreciate your comment.

More lovely fresh greens Paul.

Watercolour painting of an imaginary scene, I wanted to attempt a painting with the trees reflecting on the water , something I’ve always admired in painting s by my favourite artists . Always avoided them as I find it extremely difficult to achieve . The process of painting is on the forum , take a look if you want to see how it developed . Outcome is ok can’t say I’m particularly pleased with it but that probably due to having struggled and messed around with it so much .

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
