The blue in the foreground is suppose to be linseed but that’s the are I have had most problems with , they do grow lavender in some part of the county .

Worth battling on with this Paul. I particularly like how you have portrayed the hills behind the house and the rich purples and greens.

I really like this, the colours are lovely together !

Good colours, really well painted.

Good work Paul. Well done for keeping at it. Great result. I know what you mean about the heat, I find it easy to do nothing. I’ve been meaning to cut my grass, been putting it off for days…excuse…too hot! I finally cut it at 8am today, before it got too hot. Took 30 minutes. Just lazy really. Must do some drawing this afternoon.

Thank you for your lovely comments , they are really appreciated. I think we suffer more from the heat with age Lew , I also have to make myself do something as any excuse will do at the moment. Drawing is an excellent idea in the weather , I’m obstinate and will persevere with the watercolours .

I've always struggled with the heat as well, plus I agree I really can't do much in it as I've got older. I think I get tired and that doesn't help when im painting at all. However I do like your lovely farmhouse, so well done.

The struggle was worth it, a good one Paul

Lovely Paul.

Thank you Anne , it did get a tad warm.

A4 in A3 mount watercolour of an old Buckinghamshire style farmhouse, built with a frame of brick and panels of flint . Worked on the on and off all week struggled due to the heat., and made so many changes because the paint dried so quickly. Gave up yesterday and decided enough is enough as I’m get very frustrated with it.
