this is a wonderful "Paul", and i really like that size. Great autumn

I think you have captured your composition really well Paul as Autumn trees look before they fall.

Great painting Paul.

Tanja, Chris and Stephen thank you for your comments. I’m please with the end result if a little disappointed that photo on the gallery isn’t showing the vibrancy it really does but cameras do change things slightly as we know .

Lovely painting. You seem to offer us two paths to the same destination which gives the picture mystery.

Trevor, Nick and Heather thank you for your comments.

This is lovely Paul. The trees and foliage are so skilfully painted and the footpaths leading the viewer’s eye into the painting is great.

Some good details in this piece Paul, like that path rising up.

Beautiful work Paul!

I don't know how I missed this one, like the rich colours.

Thank you Val for you comment, easy to miss thing as they slip off the page so quick especially when we have a couple of people multi posting.

Watercolour of autumn woodland , first in what I hope to be a series of paintings depicting Pulpit Hill woodlands and hillfort . A place I admit to having a great deal of love for a explanation is given in more detail on the forum in the work in progress. I have struggled a bit this this one due to all the foliage and different colours, I was fearful it would be a mass of colour, but feel ok with how it’s turned out .
