I watched this develop with interest, and yes, you should be pleased with it. You've done what you've set out to do, and kept the subtle colours of Spring, even though it isn't yet Spring and you've used your visual memory.

This is really lovely Paul, perfect light and beautiful trees. Will have a look at your progression on the forum.

You should be very pleased with this Paul, lovely painting

I've watched your progress on the forum Paul and it's a fine piece of work, despite the difficulties.

This is really lovely, Paul - you have captured the delicacy of a sunny Spring day beautifully!

Robert , Sarah , Chris ,Denise and Anne , thank you for your much appreciated comments. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing this painting , I think it due in part to having to take time I just now need to control the urge to fiddle more .

What a lovely prelude to Spring Paul. So full of grace, beauty and optimism.

Shows the fresh, lively greens of Spring Paul. The trees are very realistic.

A4 watercolour of an imaginary scene in the early spring, my only reference material was the large tree on the right the rest was developed as the painting progressed. The process of painting this scene is on the forum as a work in progress, it explains the mistakes I made and some of the difficulties I faced . Painted in small chunks over a period of eight days , resulting in some frustrating sessions and concern that might end up fiddling with it to much . I’m pleased with the final result .
