It looks so chilly - lovely, Paul!

Nice simple painting. I like the little details in this.

Lovely composition.

Thank you Anne and Andrew , I wanted it to be as minimal detailed as possible but still set the scene . I use as little paint as I could to show that a painting doesn’t always need layers and bright colours .

Thank you Kal we we’re writing about the same time hence not including you in the about comment.

beautiful quiet atmosphere, I really like the fences in the foreground!

Great composition Paul. You have not overcomplicated the scene and, for me, have just about the right amount of detail to make it work really well.

This has real atmosphere Dixie, and I like the simplicity of style here. Less is more! Good one.

It works very well Paul, lovely wide open spaces and good detail in the grasses and fence posts.

Beautifully painted Paul, I also like the composition.

Tanja, David, Tessa , George and Denise thank you for your comments I really appreciate them. I have the tendency to put to much detail in my paintings but live to see these simple uncomplicated paintings it’s really quite refreshing doing them but I do have to be very strict with myself.

Very tough as you say but makes for a lovely painting

Simple and so good, less is more. !!

That is so good, Paul! It just looks oh so cold!!

A4 watercolour with a small amount of acrylic white on top of the posts and building roofs. Set in winter showing a farm set in the bleak moorlands, take a brave soul to live up in these tough environments even in the better weather. I admire the moorland and hill farmers who live and work in what is a beautiful environment but also a tough one .
