Castlerigg Stone Circle
Watercolour of Castlerigg stone circle, near Keswick in Cumbria. Raised in 4000 to 5000 BC one of the oldest in Britain . Built on a low hill to the southeast of Keswick , the contractor is not known but could be old Wimpy . Bit of artistic license with the sun as it should be to the left of the painting , however the paint did its own thing and formed what looks like the sun on the right so I went with the flow .
