Lovely painting Paul, I'd love to visit those woods on Dartmoor!

Nicely done Paul.

This looks lovely Paul

Nice recession with the trees Paul!

Interesting subject - like those greens!

Thank you Sarah, Stephen, Heather, Ross, Andrew and Janet for your very kind comments I really appreciated them. It was the oddest thing I have painted, learned so much from the process and actually thinking about it enjoyed it as well. It’s very rewarding when it receives such a response, icing on the cake.

Woo lovely Paul. I love your greens 😍

Nature at its work, the dead tree has a slightly alien look, as it would do. Great contrast with the trees in the background. Nice work Dixie.

I like this Paul. There are some old fallen willows near my home just like that. Superb.

Another super painting, I would have a whole wall of your paintings in my house !!!!

Faye, Lewis, Fiona and Valerie , thank you for you comment they are truly appreciated. Valerie I’m overwhelmed no one has ever said anything so nice about my paintings , thank you so much it really means a lot.

Fascinating and strange Dixie, well captured.

Thank you Tessa and Diana for taking time to look and comment I appreciate it.

This really is lovely Paul and not odd at all, is my kind of subject to draw too

Very different but enchanting Paul.

I like this very much, Paul. Well done!

A world within a world Paul. You don’t just look, you see……and then paint terrific watercolour.

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment, Cheryl, Carole, Mia and Fiona I appreciate it. If you just look and don’t look close enough at anything you miss out on so much , particularly when it comes to nature on such a small scale. I helps been so nosy and inquisitive something I’ve been all my like , it’s works but I want to know why it works , taken many a clock etc apart as a child and put them back together.

I love looking closely at mosses a lichen. ShT greTidea ,nicely done.

Nice one Paul👍

Many thanks a Sylvia and Kate for your lovely comments.

A very good well painted composition Paul.

Many thanks Chris for you kind comment .

Thank you Spencer I appreciate your comment.

Many thanks Mark for your kind comment.

the enchanted tree trunk.......has become so beautiful Paul, you have rendered so autenthic and this mood: this beauty holds the breath of the forest! Your trees always remind me of Fangorn Forest, where Treebeard lives with his Ents.

Thank you Tanja what more compliment could I have than a reference to Tolkien,I’m currently rereading Lord of the Rings.

A 40x 20cm watercolour painting of the branch of a tree in a British rainforest. To set the seen it’s a misty days walk in the woods your close to a branch and can see all the micro plants growing on it . Only painted it to see if I could do it , quite happy with the finished painting, yes it odd . Inspired by online photo of rainforests in Devon.
