That is lovely Paul, hanging on there.

This is very eye catching Paul.

Thank you Carole and Denise for your comments. It’s one of those quick sketches that just seems to come together as it it’s a mind of it’s own .

The delicacy of a dying leaf suspended is done extremely well. I like the way you have other twigs and branches going into the distance.

Beautifully delicate ... some people are so stupid.

Very very good Paul, also I like your treatment of the branches.

Spencer , Heather and Richard thank you for your comments they are always appreciated.

Definitely eye catching in more ways than one!!!

Beautifully painted, Paul!

Interesting ethereal

Thank you David Anne and Moira for you comments.

I love both of your sketches, you have a wonderful way with nature, especially trees.

Beautifully observed Paul. I particularly like the lighter twigs in the background giving the picture depth. The tenacious leaf held out against the odds in spite of powerful forces raging against it. A bit like current news!

Thank you Mark fir your comment. I thought how similar it was to the current situation as I was painting it , not intentionally done.

Beautifully done.

Many thank fir you kind comment Caroline.

23 x 32 watercolour, I did a sketch of this leaf a few days ago, it lasted all winter despite the winds that took my neighbours fence down and the felt off my shed roof. Today it was cut down by my neighbour who owns the tree , when I asked why he had cut just that single small branch off , he said “ it was bloody annoying me “ . What a lot of effort getting out the steps and tools etc , it would have come off anyway.
