I like the feeling of there being so much story and history in this scene, Paul. Your colour choice helps this. Nice one

Find a way around the problem Paul. Don’t be defeated.

Very interesting scene and well painted, Paul.

Good colour palette in this one Paul & well done for attempting all those windows , they are hard going.

Full of movement and narrative Paul.

Well done Paul.

Thank you all for your very kind comments I appreciate them . I like a painting to tell a story Gerry it makes then more pleasing to look at them and work out a story.

Great detail Paul and lovely colour palette.

A lovely interesting glimpse into the past - well done, Paul!

Another Messing about in boats…..you are getting good at these.

Great and interesting history captured here Dixie.

The narrative is lovely, Paul,I'm sure you'll conquer that hand problem, one way or another!

Have seen this developing on the forum - don't berate yourself on the rigging, the end result is very good

Lively and interesting painting Paul and I love all the buildings.

Thank you all for your most kind comment , they are appreciated and a moral booster .

A very pleading piece Paul.

Sorry Paul ‘pleasing!’

Paul you have created a very good painting from this quite complex scene. Despite your hand pains you invariably succeed. Use whatever means you have to, but keep painting. I like this one very much.

Really like the descriptive name given to these boats and cargo Paul. I learn something new from every painting you do! Great!

Thank for your kind comments Carole , George and Fiona . Carole I quite liked your first comment but thanks for the correction.

I always love the colours you use, like this one/

Thank you Valerie I appreciate your lovely comment.

Watercolour painting on A3 paper, imagined scene of sailing barges located with straw or hay then known as ‘ Stackies ‘ as in hat stacks . This is on the forum as a work in progress, unfortunately not finished to my liking as I’m unable to get the rigging as I want it due to a hand problem. Need to avoid doing detail work in future.
