Heather , Stephen, George, Anne , Valerie and Fiona thank you for your much appreciated comments. Given the ways you paint Fiona I think you would do good job of boats , I struggle to do them with minimal detailing .

Thank you Diane for your comment. Milind the scene is set in thick morning mist I don’t want to much contrast nor dark colours that idea being that every in is bending in together and it’s difficult to see .

A4 watercolour of a Thames barge in morning mist waiting for it to clear before setting sail after a night hove too. A quick painting done wet in wet for the most part and straight in with the brushes used a half inch flat and a rigger .

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
