Great painting Paul of a ship in repair. I particularly like the ladder with shadow and light on it.

Excellent construction picture.

Love the colours you use, they harmonise beautifully !

This is full of varied shapes and there is so much going on Paul. A superb, interesting, watercolour.

Always like your boats, you paint them particularly well

Thank you all for your very kind comments I do appreciate them .

You do boats so well Paul. Your love of the subject is always transferred to your painting.

Nice piece Paul, you are incredibly productive these days.

A lovely construction, Dixie. I like you have added some boatyard sheds and other bits to add interest.

Lovely painting Paul and I like all the background buildings.

Thank you all for your kind comments, the buildings were imported and the sail loft in the middle is loosely based on the ones found in and around Hastings . I’ve always wanted to incorporate the buildings into a painting set like this , the building are imaginary as the loft is often a stand alone building.

Great to see under the skin Paul, you are really good with your ships.

Interesting subject, Paul, nicely painted.

Thank you Sandra and Jenny I appreciate your comments.

Some lovely detail here Paul

Love it Paul. The colours are so relaxing

Well painted Paul.

Lovely characterful old ship Paul. Nice colour palette too.

Many thanks Spencer for your comment.

A3 paper an imaginary scene of a cutter in the boatyard undergoing repairs, I attempted to keep the details to a minimum . We there is far less than I normally would have done. I do love painting these old boats and though it would be a change to see under the skin and expose the skeleton. Amazing amount of timber needed and the structure is like a maze all heavy timber to last years .
