A super boat, Paul and the busy figures add just the right atmosphere!

Great painting Paul.

Really well painted Paul

Always good Paul

You are very good at boats Paul, especially impressed that you work from your imagination!

Great boat Paul lovely painting 🖼

Thank you Spencer , Anne, Denise , Neil, Heather and Sarah for your very kind comments. It particularly rewarding that you like this painting as it taken me a week to paint it normally I would do it in two or three hours. I can no longer pinch grip with my thumb and forefinger and have needed to experiment at holding the brush differently. I hold it between my first and middle finger, it time consuming and very wobbly but I’m getting used to it . One benefit is that it has slowed me down and I need to concentrate on doing a simple line etc, personally I think I’m painting better well lets hope so. Better than not being able to paint I think.

Thank you Faye I think I was typing at the same time as you were .

Love this Paul. I can smell the sea air

Many thanks for you comment Elaine.

Superb boats Paul, and the figures add to this painting.

Think I meant boat not plural !😀

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment Richard it’s really appreciated.

Another beauty Paul, you paint some lovely nautical scenes,

Thank you Chris , nautical scenes my favourite, and at the moment my comfort zone. I think I have said it before I get seasick on a duck pond, but can’t resist a boat painting.

Lovely old boat Paul, super little sketch, nice work…

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment Alan I appreciated it.

A lovely, evocative painting, Dixie. Great detail work.

23x32 cm watercolour . A imaginary scene of steam trawler in harbour at low tide, there are very few of these boats still, afloat non are used for fishing these days . What looks like trellis work on the is there to protect the hull and guide the nets up the side of the trawler . A small sail is set when trading to give the boat a little steerage and Driffield it along towing the net. One hundred of these vessels put to sea each day from British fishing ports . Registration number and name are fictitious.
