That is super, Diana. Just love that sky!!

Love this. The colour combination is a favourite of mine. Despite its looseness parts of Bridlington are recognisable.

A wonderful watercolour Diana with such subtle colours in that expanse of water . The sky is so typical of the north east coast and is full of broodiness with the odd glimmer of light peeping through. A great result.

Superb watercolour Diana, my favourite kind of style.

It's lovely loose work Diana. Forgive me, but I was looking for a little more light in the foreground to make perfection.

Lovely work Diana - like that little red sail bobbing about!

Full of atmosphere - lovely, Diana!

Super work Diana.

Stunning wet in wet beach scene with a fantastic sky.

Just as watercolour should be, beautiful!!

Love it Diana!

Lovely tonal study

Thanks David. The sky was wonderfully dramatic. That’s amazing that you could recognise it Fiona! I’m looking towards the spa etc from the south beach. Thanks again for your interest Paul. I appreciate it. Thanks for your lovely comment Carole. Your words describe exactly how it was. Thank you Fiona. I really enjoyed the no pressure hour. The colours were magnificent. Many thanks Christine. GlD you like it. I see what you mean Jim and there was exactly as you say in the foreground. I cropped it as the horizon was bang in the middle and didn’t wasn’t to lose any sky. I always appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Sarah. Even a tiny bit of red grabs attention. Thank you Anne. It was so dramatic. Many thanks for your interest Rachel. Thank you Val. The colours reflect on the sand were beautiful. Many thanks Valerie. I love to se watercolour being given freedom to do their own thing ( with an element of control) Thanks Linda. Your interest is always really appreciated Thank you Thalia. I can work for days on a piece and feel detached from it but get a piece I was happier with in an hour. Food for thought there!

Lovely Diana, really like the looseness

Thank you Heather. No pressure Watercolour work is so relaxing

Love the colours and freedom of expression here Diana

Beautifully handled watercolour Diana

Beautifully atmospheric Diana; lovely harmony between the sky and the foreground.

What super work….and only in one hour. Love it.

Fab painting Diana as always!

Great work Diana.

Thank you Martin. I find working quickly often results in a spontaneous freshness. Thank you George. It was a very enjoyable hour Thank you Coral. It’s a lovely feeling when a piece turns out to be far more rewarding than expected Thank you Karen. I had to crop some foreground because the horizon was bang on centre Thank you Ellen. Watercolour is often freshest when worked quickly Thank you Guy. I really appreciate your support Thank you Emma. It’s surprising how different it is using an unfamiliar paper

15x13’’ watercolour on rough paper which I used to use all the time but haven’t done for a few years. I had an hour to kill before making tea so enjoyed a really loose , mostly wet in wet painting
