Super painting, Diana - lovely colours plus a great title!

A beautiful painting, Diana!

I love what you choose to paint! This is my mammoth task tomorrow🥴

Super painting and agree with Marjorie- you paint such interesting items!

I must say Diana, I have the very same iron and you have made a super painting of it.

Superb Diana and beautifully painted it proves that there is always something you can sketch or paint if you bother to look .

I love the colours and the light - ordinary subjects can be beautiful!

Great skill in painting a simple subject.

Hello Collette. Thanks. It’s pretty scruffy. The soluble graphite drawing wasn’t a good idea 😂 Thanks Anne. It was fun and I might do it again as a ‘proper’ painting without the soluble graphite. I struggle with titles , so if something pops into my head, it’s great. Thanks again David. A bit of fun and potentially a few more studies. Good luck with that Marjorie. I used to be meticulous with ironing bedding then two years ago got linen !!! No more ironing Thanks Christine. I love the way that light enhances the appearance of mundane objects. Plus , I find landscapes difficult 😂 Hello Denise. Thank you I live in a very hard water area so irons don’t last long. This one Will because I’m saving energy now!!😂 Morning Paul. I couldn’t agree more. In fact I’m just looking around the room and can see a few subjects I’m interested in drawing. Thanks Spencer. Now the light is getting better, I’m interested to see what subjects will be floodlit for me this year. Thanks Sarah. It’s funny how a most uninteresting object can take on a fascinating beauty Thanks Stephen. I was a bit disappointed with the result because the graphite has given it a grubby appearance but I’m going to give it another try

Art in everything - brilliant!

Isn’t it just Heather 👍Thanks for looking

Wow, Diana, what a fantastic subject, so very original. Superb painting!

Love this, my iron!

Thanks Nicola. It’s was a bit of fun but I liked the subject enough to work on it in a larger version Thanks Mia. I loved the light though I haven’t really captured the intensity. Thank you Hilary. It seems that this iron is a popular model 😂👍

Beautifully painted, Diana!

Gorgeous work, Diana. Love the palette and the very effective contrast of the structured shape of the iron against the textured fabric.

Thank you Thalia. I really liked it as a subject. Thanks for looking Seok. You’ve given me some ideas for another version

Very interesting topic, in a word, art in everything !

Another kitchen -sink classic Diana. I'm hoping for a "coins of the realm" painting from you before they all disappear in favour of swipe cards. (-:

Bit of fun after the ironing. 1/4 imperial watercolour paper. Note to self… don’t draw in soluble graphite unless it’s going to be part of the painting!
