Superb as always Diana.

Stunning work Diana.

Terrific work Diana. I like the use of rusty red at the back.

Once again this picture really glows, such a standout piece.

Hello Stephen K It’s amazing what a bit of dark can achieve.

Thank you very much Margaret. I had to delete the duplicate post 5hat your comment was on.

I like the colours in this, Diana, especially that orangey colour at the back with hints of it in the glass - and the darker background has made a big difference. (What colour mix do you use for your darkest darks, it’s always such a feature of your work - you must get through a lot of paint!)

Wonderful composition and skill again, Diana, love your work.

As always, truly brilliant - no-one can paint glass as well as you do Diana

Your reflections cease to amaze me, they are so well executed, fantastic work.

Another kitchen masterpiece Diana,

You have that wonderful ability to take every day items and make look spectacular.

Hello Jenny and thank you. I use indigo, burnt umber and a bit of alizarin crimson or French ultramarine with burnt umber. It usually needs more than one layer even with a strong mix.

Thank you Willie. I’m very flattered Thank you Heather. I have seen many beautiful paintings of glass over the years, many in oils. Thank you Linda. It’s a great exercise in observation and I love the challenge. Thank you very much Fred. Thank you Ellen. I love to see beauty is the mundane.

I don't think I can add anything to the lovely comments already written. I have always loved all your fantastic work. well done Diana

… and great title, too!

Thank you Janet. Titles are hard to create but a bit of humour or a story is intriguing

I left this painting a week or two ago and couldn't work out why I wasn't happy with it. I have added a darker background which seems to have given the glass more clarity. Half imperial watercolour
