That is so sad Diana. We love all our pets ( and other people’s too) and it’s so hard when something like this happens. In one way though it’s a help when we know what’s happened. A beautiful painting of a lovely cat.

How sad but a very good cat portrait.

So sad indeed but a lovely painting and it sounds as if he was a character, certainly looks it here!

So very sad Diana, anyone with a pet knows they are a part of the family. Beautifully painted.

How sad and upsetting but a wonderful portrait to remember him by.

Thank you Marjorie. It’s the hard part of owning. Pet but they are worth the heartbreak. I agree, it was so good of the girl to take him to the vet. Thank you David. My son likes it so must have some resemblance! Thank you Denise. Animals give unconditional love which makes them such lovely company. Thank you Tessa. He certainly was a character!! Thank you Val. I’ve no doubt I’ll be introduced to another cat before too long!

How very sad but what A LOVELY WATERCOLOUR

Thank you Heather. It was so difficult painting on silky drawing paper. A completely new experience

Lovely Diana. Been there and the sadness is palatable. You've captured it all too well.

So sad but a really lovely portrait and a way of keeping his memory alive.

I know how it feels and have done the same, but Sylvia’s illustration of the event said it all. Lovely portrait, Diana.

I just love this Puss. Nice loose pen and wash Diana.

My sons Siamese cat has been missing for over a week and sadly was found dead and taken to the vet by the person who’s garden he was found in to have his chip read. It was incredibly kind of the girl to take the dead animal to the vet. Anyway, I did a quick portrait as he was such a character . A few years ago , he went out on Halloween and came home in a devils costume!!!!! Drawn on smooth drawing paper with watercolour washes
