A lovely painting like it a lot.

What a wonderful painting, Diana!

Thank you Paul. It’s so beneficial to have a complete change of medium and or size of work now and again.

It's really good Diana, like this a LOT!

Wow amazing 🙂

Had to look twice at the artist Diana. So different for you, yet your skill is undeniable. Lovely.

Superb Diana, long may your success continue.

Beautiful

Beautiful painting and very interesting to read about your methods and materials.

I remember this one, Diana, it’s beautiful and full of character.

Looks wonderful Diana.

It's worked out very well.

A delightful painting!

Great painting. The partial addition of the fence makes an interesting contribution. It would be interesting to know why you decided to use this element in the painting.

Beautifully achieved Diana. Love the variety of expressions and your cleverly chosen palette. A change of media is always refreshing.

So imaginative Diana. It’s great to come back to something and have fun, really enjoy adding and changing - the stress ( if that’s what it is ) is just gone.

A fabulous painting, Diana.

It is amazing, very deft use of mixed media and watercolour of course!

Thank you David . I certainly enjoyed painting it. Thank you Heather. It’s got more life than many of mine. Probably because I was using imagination more. Thank you Faye. I’m pleased you like it (them). Thanks Jim. I love a break from my usual medium occasionally ax it encourages creative experimentation

What a lovely thing to read Brian. I really appreciate it. Thank you again Anne. Lovely to have your interest. Thank you Sarah. Lots of experimentation with unfamiliar mediums. It could have gone either way!

Wonderful Diana! Long May you continue to amaze us. This painting is shear delight!

Thank you Jenny. I painted a smaller version and liked it as a subject to enlarge. Thank you very much Denise. I value your interest Many thanks Sarah for having a look at my work

You have captured the sheep really well.

This is lovely. I imagine it was daunting but the result is well worthwhile.

Full of life and movement. Eye catching. Really like it

A great painting Diana. The sheeps faces and fleeces are really brilliant!

Thanks for your interest William. The sheep were behind the fence and in reality, the shadows played a bigger part in the scene, including highlights on the wire. I liked the whisks of wool caught on it. I hadn’t completed it when I took this photo but don’t want to have it look like a grid. Thank you Carole. I’m looking forward to using a variety of less used media over the next few weeks. Thank you Marjorie. I think you’re spot on with the stress bit. It’s good to have no expectations or worries about ‘spoiling’ a piece. Thank you Ellen. Great sweeping marks. Very liberating Thank you Anjana. The scale really encourages looser work. I know artists who paint full sheet photorealistic watercolours but I wouldn’t have the patience. Thank you Linda. That’s so generous and means such a lot

Morning David. I really love sheep and find them comical in their expressions too. Thank you Lynda. It was a mixture or new challenges interspersed with total freedom. Really enjoyable Thank you Martin. I’m really pleased that you can feel movement. Thanks Spencer. It was at a local children’s farm and the late afternoon light was beautiful

Super painting Diana and good to see you tackling such a different and challenging subject and size! At first glance I thought this was a selection of smaller squares then recognised the fencing. 🤭. Such an appealing painting.

This is so good!

Thanks again for your encouragement Tessa. It’s very liberating to work freely on s piece with no expectations. Thank you Rachel for your lovely compliment. I really appreciate it.

Fantastic painting, Diana

Beautiful painting Diana - I think I remember the earlier stages, they were pretty good too!

Excellent 👌

Thank you Alice. I’ve stalled again before completing it 😂 Thank you Emma. I painted a smaller version too along time ago I loved the light. Thank you Alan. It’s been enjoyable to make use of hoarded yet unused materials

I love this, very cleverley done with the wire fence and beautiful faces of the sheep. Congratulations

Beautiful painting !

Wonderful Diana. I love their expressions and the texture of the fleeces.

Absolutely love this Diana! A loose style but with such character in the faces.

Just love this noisy crowd! Beautifully captured.

Thank you very much Jennifer , Lea, Julie , Anthony and Sue. Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. I’ve been wiped out with vertigo

Thank you Michael. I love sheep but you’ve reminded me that maybe this painting deserves to come out of the heap of discarded work

Full imperial sized watercolour that I returned to after many months, if not years. I have never had much success with mixed media but got out my Inktense sticks and oil pastels with some white Brusho to use as gouache. I’ve had a great time scribbling and daubing those textures. The beauty of work this size is that it looks better from a distance like oils.
