Thank you very much I may explore the subject further in different media.

In the left painting, the patch of cold light between the two left shadows lifts the scene. It sets the mood and reappears throughout the painting. It's the only sunflower painting I can think of that's not heavy, weighed down by the weirdness of the sunflowers. It's funny how a good scene offers so many opportunities to be creative.
