Thank you very much. I rarely use green from ghe tube or pan but yhis very dark green called ' green' from st Petersburg is amazing

Thank you Marjorie, Margaret, Carole and Sarah. It's lovely to read your comments. I think the limited palette was part laziness too! The scene had beautiful Cumbrian fells behind it but think I would have made a. Implement mess if I tried to include those as In no landscape artist!

Watercolour on Bockingford 250 lb. I loved the light making some of the petals almost white. I used st Peters green which is beautifully dark. DS green gold DS Quinn gold. St. Peter's cad lemon. I wanted it to be loose around the central flowers so put a loose wash around them then went back into the flowers and adding darks
