Venice I assume

Venice I assume

Terrific Diana. Nothing to dread there. Welcome back.

I agree with Jim, very well done.

Lovely palette and subsequent watercolour painting here

Lovely - specially like the subtle colours and the reflections.

Hello Jim and thanks. I have been involved with the arrival of a grandchild and a new health issue. Alls calm again and I’m warming up my brushes !! Thanks Stephen and David. The greens and earth reds are beautiful. Il love to go there one day. Hello Margaret and thank you. I loved the colours. The reflections were difficult but I’m up for a challenge

Love your reflections and stonework Diana

Fantastic reflections Diana, your painting is certainly on form, lovely work 😀

The dread doesn’t show one bit Diana, the water and reflections are fabulous.

Beautiful lowered perspective, Diana, and wonderful colours and reflections.

My favourite subject beautifully handled!

I always love your darks Diana also the subtle colour reflected in the water. Great perspective.

It’s so good to read these comments from you all. Every time I have been away from my painting, I feel such joy in getting back into this community again. Sorry to have been absent in the comments lately but will be gradually having more time to return. Thank you Karen and Linda. I feel a bit rusty but the feeling of happiness when watching the paint leaving my brush is the main thing. Hello Fiona and thanks. My teacher often chooses boats and reflections as the subject image so I need to put the paint down with confidence then leave it alone! Thank you Cesare, my tutor can take the credit for the perspective. I agree, it’s an interesting angle. Thank you Lesley . There are so many beautiful paintings of Venice.

Thank you Carole . My tutor has an eye for photographing interesting painting subjects. I did love that varied array of colour in the water.

It’s like you have never been away Diana, no need for dread you have captured the boats perfectly and as usual produced a lovely contrast filled painting.

Thank you Margaret and Barry. Every day away from painting seems like a week and I get extremely restless!,

Hang on Studio Wall

Painting has been a bit on the back burner lately. This is another class piece from an image by tutor David Thomas. Water and boats fill me with artistic dread.
