Receiving an award at the RI Watercolours

Diana, I'm so thrilled and pleased for you! I can just imagine that news and how you felt, to get in for the first time and go beyond that and win an award is marvellous. I'm not in the least surprised because your work is fantastic. So glad too that you've told us x

Marjorie, thank you I know I’m blowing my own trumpet here but I love hearing other people’s successe too . I was so taken aback and mixing with the other artists who have been my idols. I’m quite shy and feel a bit inferior much of the time but I had a wonderful day. John, thank you . You know I don’t have much confidence despite having done ok lately and I still think of myself as a decent beginner so this was just incredible. I met David there and he was in my coach on the way home. Amazing exhibition for watercolour lovers. Oh Jim, what a lovely thing to read. Thank you. It’s a pleasure to know you too. Hello Ibolya and thank you. That’s my 15 minutes and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Sylvia ,thank you for such a kind and heartfelt comment. I remember standing in that exhibition two years ago in utter awe and saying ( rather tongue in cheek) that I’d have a painting in there one day. Thank you Cesare I am delighted and planning a return trip with a friend to study all the work at a more leisurely pace.

Congratulations to you too and I really like your painting too. I was so nervous at the PV presentation! Shame I didn’t get to meet you. It was surreal talking to the RI members who are my idols!
