A stunning piece of drama, full of intrigue and a sliver of foreboding Brian. Achieved so skilfully through colour, light and composition.

Thank you very much, Carole, for the startling comments. Gratefully received. I think I'm done with this one for now. I nearly placed a person in the centre of the circle, staring at the incoming birds, but changed my mind. Much appreciated, as always Bri

No don’t over egg the pudding it’s perfect as it is. Nice to see your work again.

I think it's full of drama, love it!

Thank you very much, Carole, for the sage advice. I think you're right about over-egging the pudding so I'll leave well alone. Sometimes a judicial nudge is all it takes. Thanks again. Thank you very much, Heather, for the very kind comments. Always appreciated, Best to both Bri

This is magical Brian, great use of colour, subdued lighting and shadows. Brilliant!

Amazing work Brian. Tremendous light effects.

Half expecting an alien landing Brian, looks sinister. Beautifully done.

Thank you very much indeed, Spencer, Ronald and Carole, for the great comments. Much appreciated. I'm delighted it's having the desired effect and really like the idea of sinister shadows. Best to all Bri

Really dramatic and eye catching. I agree with Carole absolutely

Wow lovely painting 🖼

Thank you very much, Martin and Faye for the generous comments. I'm so pleased you liked this effort. Much appreciated Bri

Oil on stretched canvas, wet on dry & wet in wet, 50 x 40 cms. This is a heavily revised addition, where the shadows have been extended and the background mountains reshaped to more accurately reflect reality. I was also attempting to up the ante on mood and mystery, with the emphasis being on "attempting".
