So Magnificent! Excellent work!

Lovely work Brian, I can hear it.

This is fabulous Brian, I love seascapes and this looks amazing with the light coming in to the left and the spray of the water is quite marvellous.

A really powerful painting. I feel I'm about to be swamped by that wave, and can almost taste the salt spray.

Beautiful work, Brian.

Thank you SO much everyone for the kind comments. Very encouraging indeed. Cheers, Skylar, for your valued opinion. Appreciated. I like the idea of a soundscape, Jim. Tickled me pink it did. Thank you, Maureen, for your keen eye. Appreciated, as always. Thanks, Margaret, for looking so closely. I love seascapes too and am always drawn back to them. I appreciate the comments. Thanks, Colin. I'm pleased the flavours and movement of the sea were apparent; thanks for letting me know. Appreciated. Thank you for the "beautiful" Cesare. I appreciate the support. My best to all, Brian

So much energy in this painting, Brian - very powerful...

Brian, this is awesome, not a word I am keen on but it certainly fits this beauty. The colours you’ve blended together in the centre of the wave are perfect, I can even see violet? Gorgeous light too.

Thanks, Jan, for mentioning the energy. I appreciate the reply. Thanks again, Fiona, for the great comments. I'm bowled over by your response, but in the nicest of ways. Delighted the colours are working and so pleased you looked so closely. Cheers for that. Best to both Brian

A wonderful painting Brian, fantastic light.

A beautiful composition Brian and I love the subtle colours in your sky: the impact of the waves is excellent.

Brilliant. A touch of Aivazovsky.

Thanks Russell, Tessa and Timothy, for the generous reviews. Very much appreciated. Glad the light's doing its job, Russell. Thanks for mentioning it. A nod to composition is always good to read, Tessa, so thanks for that. Delighted you liked the colour and the wave's power. "A touch of Aivazovsky" ... That really made me smile, Timothy, because I've admired his 9th Wave for an age, and his other works. Great maritime painter IMHO. Best to all, Brian

Love the energy in this Brian. Beautiful colours.

Thank you very much, Carole, for the warm response. Appreciated.

Beautiful Brian, I particularly like the light caught in the breaking wave.

Thank you very much, David. I missed this reply and apologise for my late response. Thanks for mentioning the light. Appreciated. Brian

This is a view looking south to north towards Lizard Point in the distance, near Marsden Bay, South Shields. The sun is setting as it eventually breaks through the storm clouds. Oil on canvas 50 x 40cms.
