Spectacular light effects an improvement, Brian

Much better with the paler clouds above the yellow as the yellow doesn’t look so clumped together. Worth the extra effort Brian. Verry majestic

'Spectacular' and 'majestic' have already been used to describe this painting Bri and I couldn't agree more, wonderful work.

Thank you very much, Ronald, Carole and Russell, for the very supportive and constructive comments, Much appreciated. It was one of those niggling things, that I couldn't quite fathom, that encouraged me to seek a bit of advice on WIP. I wonder why more people don't use that facility because the feedback is truly invaluable, AND it makes for good tutorials for interested members. I'm delighted you think this is an improvement. Bri

Great improvement and a lovely peaceful seashore well done Brian

It turned out a beauty Brian. I think that I was the only one that really didn’t care for the original version, but I know what I’m talking about - well most of the time! I’ll always say what I think, but only if it’s asked for, you always listen! Glad you revamped it.

Thank you very much for the Kind comments, Tao. Much appreciated. Peace and serenity was always the main goal, so I'm very pleased that aspect came across. Thanks again, Alan, for sticking with this one, and thanks for the great support and pointers. Always appreciated. I welcome your honest pov because it really does help when the initial impact and minutiae are considered. You have a good eye. Best to both Bri

Just great, Brian. I watched your struggles on the forum. Another stunner.

Thank you very much, Lew, for the support and kind comments. Deeply appreciated. The WIP section of the forum is underused, I'd say, because the help and advice offered by other members/friends is just great. It really does help the artist to see things from a different perspective. Bri

Hi Brian, thanks for your interest on my sky sketches. I’ll see what I can do next week, I’ve got three deadlines to work on. An e-newsletter WIP for next Thursday, a full page feature for Editors Choice In TA, and another instructional feature in the letters’ section of LP. Painting has been put on hold for the time being.

Message received, Alan. Bri

Oil on canvas, 50 x 40 cms. I was n't happy with my first attempt so I ran this painting through WIP (Work in Progres) in the forum. After some sound advice and thoughts, all constructive, I revised this work and hopefully got a better photo.
