This is gorgeous Brian, I think you have a terrific Christmas card here for next year lol, hope we don't get any more snow for this year though, but it still makes for a lovely painting.

I don't think you need any tips Brian, this is beautiful. I can feel the cold air from here.

Looks very magical Brian.

Beautiful

That's a stunner, Brian. The moonlight effect is just great.

This is fantastic, Brian.

Wow! Thank you very much, everyone, for the more than encouraging reviews. Truly appreciated. I'm over the moon!! *lol* I am, you know, because I like this one and it actually came out as intended. Is that a miracle? Yes, Linda, I know what you mean. The snow is pretty but enough is enough. I'll be glad to see spring this year, when it eventually arrives. Pleased you liked. I can always use a tip, Lynn. Thanks for the compliment. Lovely thing to say. 'Magical' does it for me, Carole. *smile* Thanks for the 'beautiful' Emma. Great compliment there, Lewis. Thanks for the nod to the moonlight. Very nice of you, Seth. Thanks. Pleased you liked this one, Dennis. Thanks for the encouraging comment. My best to all, and once again thanks for the amazing replies. Brian

You are a master at snow scenes Brian. That patch of light snow, just off-centre front, brings out the shadowed areas a treat.

Thank you very much, Fiona, for the very generous analysis. I don't know about "master" but I must admit to liking snow scenes. It's great to know the light and dark are working well together. Appreciated. Lovely thing to say Best Brian

Thank you very much, Maureen, for the kind comment. Appreciated. Brian

Love snow scenes, Brian, this is beautiful.

Thank you very much, Jenny, for the warm comment. I love snow scenes too because they have a dreamlike quality that takes you out of yourself. Brian

Superb painting. Wish we had snow here, only rain, rain and more rain. At least son is bright and quiet.

Thank you very much, Linda, for the very kind comments. Appreciated. I've looked at your gallery and enjoyed it very much. I must say I think your Antarctic paintings are wonderful, and I nearly fell off my chair when I read that you'd actually BEEN!! Fantastic! It seems we share an affinity for snow. *smile* Brian

This is gorgeous Brian!! It's a delightful painting and as Linda stated it would make a really great Christmas card!

Thank you very much, Margaret, for a lovely visit. I'm delighted you liked this romantic snow scene. It would be a hoot to see this as a Christmas card. I'll look into the possibility. I wondered where the images came from. *smile* Brian

Oil on canvas 40 x 30 cms. I had every intention of putting the snow brushes away in anticipation of Spring, only to find snow falling this morning, or was it this afternoon. Anyway this shows where two lovers have stepped out in the local park for a walk by moonlight. I have never painted moonlit snow before, so any tips would be most welcome. I noticed how it throws a blue white glare rather than a yellow one.
