River Running Deep and Free - further progress

Very impressive, you've captured the movement of the water really well.

Nothing to improve it in my opinion - it’s becoming more powerful.

The colour and movement of the water are excellent 👍

Beautifully painted Andrew.

Love the colours in the river Andrew. Not having seen your photo I wonder if you need a tree in the foreground!? Time will tell.

Smashing, I really like the way you have painted the rushing water over the rocks. Not sure it needs anything added, I would leave well alone if it was me.

Capture the energy of the river perfectly. To me it is a finished painting and a very good one too!

I think it's brilliant as it is Andrew, the power and sound of a raging river perfectly captured in my opinion.

Thank you Peter; my favourite subject and a background as a hydrologist probably helps; love and God bless

Oh WOW. Now the painting is alive. The force of the water as it rushes over the rocks. The colours reflecting whatever lues beneath that surging water. I can imagine the sound it's making as it rushes downstream. The spray from the water as it rushes between the rocks. You appear to have caught the ambience of the habitat in that locality, Andrew. Absolutely love it. 🤗❤️xxx

This is so alive Andrew. I like the rust colour in the foam and the fluidity of the flow. The rocks have that wetness that is so difficult to achieve. A very appealing painting. God bless Andrew🌈🌈🌈🌈

Acrylic painting based on my photograph of the River Calder upstream of Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire. Still to include a foreground tree that frames this dramatic scene. What do you think, please?, and What might I do to improve it? Love and God bless 🙂❤️🕊🙏

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
