Absolutely beautiful painting . I love all of it but especially like the dead twigs surrounding the robin and the soft background. The texture of the post is amazing as is the plumage of the bird .

This is unbelievable. The bird-- how did you get such layering or 3D effect of the feathers. I love the whole work for its colours and detailing.

Last year (2020) I had one of these feisty little birds knocking on my window, asking for meal worms! What a brilliant portrait of a favourite bird, wonderful glint in the eye and the plumage so well executed. A charming picture altogether. Regards John

As part of my ‘Penrose Project’ last year, (where I sketched and photographed the beautiful Penrose Estate near where I live in Cornwall throughout the seasons) I collected many images of some lovely robins They are so full of character and charm and a little bit cheeky too! I couldn't resist trying to capture his charming personality as he landed on one of the fenceposts surrounding a field.
