Wonderfully atmospheric. I too miss Dawn. Her contribution somehow made the site more inclusive. I hope you'll stay, I've lost count of the many very practical tips I've got from you. Your work is always a delight to see. I recently switched my subscription to digital, this has given me a 'wall' in studio. I've started adding paintings by POL artists that I admired and found inspirational. There are half-a-dozen or so of your paintings (I haven't been doing it long). Your work is always a pleasure to view, but the ones I've put on my wall blew my socks off...and I'd dearly like to have been able to paint myself. So I hope you'll stay...and while I'm on this...thanks for all the good advice and common sense on the forum.

Totally agree with Lewis, Alan, You are an inspiration to us all, your articles , your paintings, sketches and your helpful comments on people's work are extremely valued by us all. I sincerely hope that you will continue to post.

Alan it would be a sad day indeed if you were to stop posting your work, your advice and critiques, so I hope your 'loss of interest' is just temporary. This is a wonderful painting, the colour of the sky is perfect and of course it's full of your trade mark 'detail.'

Well everyone has said it, you would be a big miss if you stopped posting. You are a mainstay! Let’s hope we all recover a bit of enthusiasm, as it is, Dawn’s absence is a glaring one, she added so much to the atmosphere on the site. Oh…and your painting is very atmospheric with a subtle palette!

This site won't be the same without your work so keep posting, Alan.

Beautifully atmospheric with lovely subtle colours. We can't afford to lose you as well as Dawn, you add so much to the site. I too miss Dawn but there is still much to enjoy, and a lot we can learn too.
