Like the subtle colours Alan. I can feel the cold!

This is so effective, looks so cold and wintery. I always admire your style Alan, your paintings are so vibrant.

Love the way you have skimmed snow showing on the surface Alan and the subdued blues.

A beautiful colour palette, Alan. I love the way you painted the trees on the left side.

Beautifully captured as always Alan

Those trees on the left are beautifully painted Alan and you've caught the cold feeling so well.

I love that sky, Alan. There’s such a lot to see in this.

Lovely soft colours here Alan, the pink is a beautiful touch.

I love this one Alan! So beautiful.

Another lovely work Alan, caught that clear winter light.

Lovely, Alan, especially that expanse of sky with the contrasting deep blue top left.

Sounds and looks lovely Alan. I like the contrast of the trees on both left and right, and the little chap with his dog which adds that little extra.

The colours recede nicely, your painting has a great sense of distance.

Love the way you painted those trees on the left, that beautiful sky with the yellow horizon ,the man and his dog,and the tall trees on the right side of your lovely painting, Alan.

Ah, love it, Alan, for its sheer beauty and variety. I've been looking at that distant bright spot for what seems like an age. Great effect and so believable. Marvellous lavenders and blues. Bri

Brilliant colours Alan, they just pop off the page 😀

Lovely comments, thank you all so much.

Nice one - feel cold, but has lots of atmosphere.

Nearly missed this Alan, it looks terrific, I love the trees on the left. Beautiful colours.

I love the cold atmosphere in this one Alan The bright highlights add wonderful light ,especially those with the dark shadows adjoining them.

This feels like a really cold day. Lovely blue colours!

The finished oil painting from one of my two WIP postings last week, completed in two sessions. It’s a view from my lane and worked up from sketch book scribbles made at the scene. That’s the River Trent in the middle distance, and I often walk across to that river bend to sketch or paint. There’s a convenient old willow stump that makes a great seat! Oil on Talens canvas board 40 x 50cm.
