Lovely blocks and lines and love the cat

Love this - pen and wash holds a great attraction for me and although many view this type of sketch as a forerunner to a painting, I think they stand wonderfully well on their own. Love the sepia and your drawing is spot on.

Thanks Dennis and Thea, and yes I also think that they are a piece of work in their own right.

I bet you wouldn't be inspired to paint what's been built in it's place. Love the blocks of flat black, starting with the cat....with it's wonky tail.... moving up to the gable and chimney. Super movement in the foreground too. No public house in this one Alan?

Very good pen and wash work Alan!

Smashing Alan and well done for the small feature on you in the Artist magazine just received today. They were going to feature me and one of my knife oils and infortunately I didn't have a good qaulity Jpg. for them. Maybe next time they spot something interesting.

A2 sketchbook with grey tinted paper. An old 1986 sketch done at an art club meeting at the site. Quite interesting and I've worked up some finished paintings from it in both oils and watercolours. Spent an hour serching the archives just and can't locate them. I hope that you like the black Tom-Cat sat waiting for a mouse, and check out his bent tail... All a brand new housing estate today.
