I've managed to complete around 20 of these quick sketches so far on my travels, plus a couple of small oils which I will add later on. I won't be posting all of them, just selecting a few more finished one's, many consist of very simple and quick scribbles.

Great stuff Alan. Wonderful to be able to do such Plein air work in good weather.

Excellent. You'll wonder where to start first when you get back.

Another fine sketch Alan. Nice work.

You are working well Alan

This is quite spectacular, Alan.

I do like the paper you're using for these sketches Alan, the addition of white looks good. Another lovely one!

I must echo Louise's comment about the paper and the addition of white. Simple but effective.

Another beautiful sketch, Alan.

Like these sketches on your tan paper, Alan

Lovely sketch for a painting Alan.

Great sketching Alan.

Another fabulous view from the road leading into Cumbre. The drive down to the beach is dangerously steep and quite hair-raising, but it really is worth the effort once you are safely at the bottom. Difficult to set up any oil painting stuff just here, but I will work on a large painting back in the UK. The early morning hazy sky merged with the sea, there was little or no visible horizon, fabulous atmosphere to take in! Indian Ink on A4 Strathmore Tan paper.
