This is so good. I love the use of oils and colours. The water&#39;s edge is brilliant. In fact, I can see all the eddies and gusts of wind on the water too. It&#39;s soon full of energy.

Such huge impact with this striking painting Alan

Another exciting scene for your Welsh series Alan......the colours and textures of land, sea and sky give the whole painting an atmophere of danger! Magnificent! Do I glimpse a small St Ninian&#39;s cave tucked away in the far cliff?

Oh no not Hells Mouth what style and colour Alan another masterwork

Foreboding image (if that&#39;s the right word) very dramatic, love this rich colourful painting especially like the stroke of light blue with reflection on the water Alan.

Well thank you all for some great comments, to be honest I&#39;ve struggled with this one, scraping the paint of at least twice and starting again when it was virtually finished, so I&#39;m glad that I persevered with it.<br />It does look foreboding and dangerous and that&#39;s what I wanted to convey, It&#39;s a brave soul who walks that pathway up to the cottages on a windy day!

Love the style of these oils Alan they are a great mix of marks and the colour and composition are terrific. The sketches you posted of Polperro I liked very much. Wish I&#39;d done them!

Thanks George, your comments are always welcome, Alan.

Brilliantly dramatic both is subject and choice of palette. Love it!

Another great view at Hells Mouth, and a hint of Bardsy Island, it certainly captures the ruggedness. I like the seed heads in the foreground to create the perspective.

Oil on canvas 36'' x 28''. This was a favourite bay for me, both for sketching and also beach casting for Bass. Not too many miles from my caravan in Abersoch, which I no longer own. The scene of many shipwrecks over the years and is known as 'Hell's Mouth' for that very reason.
