Lots Road Power Station by Alan Bickley

These cradled boards are very smooth, so not my normal support but thought I’d try a few out.

Like this Alan , I though the watercolour and pen version was really good . It looks like a busy day with the tugs etc rushing around, the drifting smoke add movement to the scene.

Wonderful subdued palette and I think sketches like this can look better but that’s only my opinion, remember going to the National gallery to look at Constable and Turner also the impressionists and some of Constable,s oil sketches I loved but that’s just me? Nice one👌

It’s good Alan but as you suggest a work in progress. I really like those dabs and marks.
