Superb painting, particularly like the treatment of the snow in the foreground. You can almost feel yourself treading in the snow with very subtle shades of bluey grey, wonderful! I have tried out Seymour watercolour but the whole pan formula, very underrated paints!

Thanks Dmitri… it’s a studio painting based on my plein air sketchbook drawings! So it’s an actual place near my home.

Thank you Alan. I have a lot water colour sketches that I would like to develop into an oil painting. I am interested in this process. Maybe you could reveal your laboratory, as it were, and publish the original sketch or maybe write a blog on the subject? I hope I am not asking for too much of your time.
