It was suppose to look like this here this morning Alan, I've got my trolly all packed up with my gear....I'm disappointed....perhaps tomorrow! As always, a super snowy landscape with lots of individual passages to enjoy, as well as the whole.

Superb painting, particularly like the treatment of the snow in the foreground. You can almost feel yourself treading in the snow with very subtle shades of bluey grey, wonderful! I have tried out Seymour watercolour but the whole pan formula, very underrated paints!

Thanks Dmitri… it’s a studio painting based on my plein air sketchbook drawings! So it’s an actual place near my home.

Thank you Alan. I have a lot water colour sketches that I would like to develop into an oil painting. I am interested in this process. Maybe you could reveal your laboratory, as it were, and publish the original sketch or maybe write a blog on the subject? I hope I am not asking for too much of your time.
