A frame, in my opinion, usually helps - but it's good to have an option. Wondering if we'll ever see snow this/next year, the weather changes so much - we had a very brief spattering last week, but nowhere near cold enough to last. Ideally, it'll not start until I've got all the food in, will then snow over Christmas to New Year's day period, then thaw. One is ever optimistic. Fine painting, cold and yet not cold - there's warmth in the sky and trees, colour in the snow.

Oil on 30x40cm Panart cradled board, which I’ve bought from the POL online shop! I’ve not tried them before, but was quite impressed. The obvious advantage is that you don’t need a frame, but of course you could if you wanted to. The finished painting, I posted the first stage last week.
