You look as if you have really enjoyed yourself here Alan, being ultra liberal in slapping those lovely colours in such a rich, loose way. Great impasto effects.

A rapid ten minute sky study from my patio, working up areas of heavy impasto. These simple studies can come in really useful for later studio paintings. I've brushed in a simple landscape to give it a footing! oil on board 24 x 30cm.
