This is really eye-catching, Alan - love those warm colours!

A very impressive painting, Alan. Beautiful glowing warm colours. The dark trees in the foreground add a lot of depth to it. Super!

Gorgeous glow on the buildings!

It has all web said Alan. The warmth radiating from the brick work is so appealing. Love the soft edges and those dominant, foreground fur trees.

Like this a lot Alan - all the verticals work so well together and the light is great too

Beautiful, the glow is amazing, lovely painting.

It glows! You just want to enter that building.

The warmth radiating from the building is wonderful Alan, I think it’s all been said.

Highly impressed with Your work

That glow really comes across on the windows, its like the sun going down and reflecting on them, a lovely warm painting to cheer you up on a miserable day.

The light on there is glorious

Beautifully done Alan - love those colours!

What a fabulous piece of architecture Alan, how lucky to have such an imposing building on the doorstep. You have most certainly done it justice. As already mentioned, the warm mellow glow coming from all those windows is spectacular. Do you know whether John Piper painted here at any time, the kind of subject he would have been attracted to.

This painting really glows with warmth, not an easy task to produce”

Like the colour Palette Alan.

Love the glowing warm colours Alan, and lovely sky. The blue foreground adds a special touch.

Thanks everyone for your super comments and support! Always appreciated.

These fabulous paintings continue - Your recent paintings are of the highest quality and it looks like you are trying something different in this sequence of work - beautifully painted Alan.

I like the glazing effect here Alan. It adds such richness to the colours - so many different hues in the windows! I also like the sense of the original surface of the canvas showing through. A very atmospheric painting.

Love the colours Alan. Fabulous light in the sky too.

I agree with all the comments Alan. It's all been said. Looks so inviting.

How did I miss this? Superb capture of golden light in the windows Alan, and a noble building. Excellent.

Like the others who have commented I love the warm bright colours. (Doing a huge catch-up so you're likely to get comments on works that were posted some time ago!)

Oil on primed MDF 20 x 20in. This wonderful Jacobean mansion house is situated just a couple of miles from me, and although I’ve sketched and painted it many times, this is the first time using oils. As always, my own interpretation of the scene, with a fair amount of ‘artistic licence’. I’ve incorporating some areas of glazing to the main building which has given me a degree of warmth to the brick work.
