I like how you've shown the flood water with a few simple strokes. Nice view you have, even allowing for flood water. I'd forgotten about this challenge...but then, half my stuff is monochrome anyway.

Crisp and clean and so simple. Excellent piece of work.

Like its very simplicity Alan. Tale told in a few strokes. Lovely.

Lovely bold sketch, Alan, like the sepia. (Must be time for the July challenge soon!)

Another good monochrome, Alan.

Another beauty Alan - such confident marks, great movement.

Loose and simple. Really like your treatment of the trees.

Like this painting. Good recession, like the choice of two colours.

Definitely my final attempt at the challenge. Black ink with two washes of sepia. Inspired by the floods from the River Trent that has burst its banks this morning, this is the view from my window. I did have to put the trees in their winter foliage though.
