This is really good Paul. Love the colours and the bird in flight.

Great picture and colour.

Well done Paul, a very fine piece of work. Pastels suit you.

This is lovely Paul, look forward to seeing a lot more

This is stunning Paul

Wow Dixie, this is lovely! Well done for tackling such a different subject and medium. I love the movement.

This is lovely, Paul - and the colour of the paper sets it off really well.

Thank you all for your very kind and encouraging comments, I felt a bit uneasy posting this as I was unsure as to how it was looking . Like everything we doubt our own work and especially when it’s something new and your on an uphill learning curve.

Beautiful, Paul. I like how you’ve handled the pastel, the varying thicknesses. Agree with Jenny too.

How lovely, Paul - a beautiful start to your "experimenting"!

Wow, this is just beautiful !!

This is rather impressive Paul!

Fabulous action painting and love the palette

It's always good to try something different and you've certainly taken to pastels. Super colours and a striking pose.

Good work Paul. Something new from you and you've done it well.

Thank you all for the lovely and encouraging comments, I have to admit I’m a little surprised at so many nice comments as I was a bit doubtful about posting this.

Excellent Paul.

Lovely Paul. Keep going, pastels are addictive once you start!

This is stunning. Colour of paper going so well with the painting.

A lovely piece Paul, very different for you, but a good change.

A much underrated bird, nicely done.

A delightful painting, Paul - I nearly missed spotting it!!

Thank you all , I do appreciate your kind comments.

The palette works really well for the subject Paul.

I love this - it's one of your best.

A5 pen and pastel sketch part of my experimenting with the two mediums, I’m actually enjoying fiddling around and finding out about pastel works, will buy some pastel pencils for finer work. Bit of fun and a lot of learning.
